Release notes
Updates to the Syntech feeds, Reseller API and this portal.
Updates to the Syntech stock feeds, Reseller API and this portal, newest first.
September 2026 — Blocking now applies to your account key
Blocks previously applied to the IP address making the requests. They now apply to your account key.
What this changes for you:
- A block returns 403 on every feed URL on your account, not only the one that tripped the limit.
- Changing server, connection or IP address will not restore access. Contact your account manager — blocks are lifted manually.
- If your feed URL has been shared, heavy use by someone else now blocks your account key, so your own sync stops working. If your URL is exposed, ask your account manager for a new key.
The change makes the limit behave consistently for integrations that move between addresses — a dual-stack consumer can use a different IPv4 or IPv6 address from one call to the next, which made IP-based blocking unreliable in both directions.

Also updated
The Reseller API reference now documents the RC, RO and SC error codes on each endpoint that produces them, rather than in a single combined list, and the API is clearly marked as beta — it remains in active development, and we will give notice of any breaking changes.
3 September 2026 — New developer portal, and fair usage limits now live
The Syntech developer portal is live, and fair usage limits on our stock feeds have taken effect.
New
- Full documentation for our stock feeds — every field, across XML, JSON and CSV
- Platform guides for WooCommerce (WP All Import), Shopify (Syncee) and custom builds
- Reseller API reference, with examples you can test in the browser
- Feeds are faster, and the data behind them now refreshes roughly every 5 minutes
Changed
Feed downloads are limited to 5 per hour, per account. Once you've used your allowance, further calls return 429 for the rest of the hour.
If your integration retries after a 429, fix that first. Repeated attempts still count, and reaching 15 requests in the hour automatically blocks your account — which then returns 403 and has to be lifted manually. This is by far the most common way a sync breaks.
The recommended schedule — update feed hourly, full feed once daily off-peak — sits comfortably inside the limit. Full detail in the fair usage policy.
